Sort items on the Put Wall
This workflow shows you how to sort picked items into work order locations on the Put Wall, and how to unload completed orders. Use it after a batch of items has been picked and needs to be distributed to its orders.
Role: Operator
Prerequisites
- Your account has the Put Wall permission for the Put Wall storage.
- The Put Wall shows the status Put Wall is empty and ready for a new process, or an unfinished process you can continue.
Steps
Sort the items
- On the Main Menu, click Put Wall. The Put Wall overview opens and shows the current status.
- Click Start to begin a new process, or Continue to resume one, and scan a code to begin.
- Scan the next item. The Put Wall highlights the destination location with its LED and the screen shows the amount to place.
- Place the shown amount into the highlighted location and confirm it. Depending on the storage settings, you confirm by scanning the location, scanning the container, or clicking Confirm. The counter of completed items increases.
- Repeat the previous two steps for every item. When everything is sorted, the message You have completed the sorting of all items appears.
Unload the Put Wall
- In the Put Wall overview, click Unload Put Wall to remove completed work orders one by one, or Clear Put Wall to empty the wall in one step. Which button is available depends on the Put Wall clearing policy in the storage settings.
- Take the goods out of each indicated location and confirm the unloading.
Result
All items are sorted into their work order locations, the completed work orders are unloaded, and the Put Wall status returns to Put Wall is empty and ready for a new process.
