Pick a work order

This workflow shows you how to process a single work order with the Picker. Use it when you pick order by order directly at the shelves, guided by LED signals.

Role: Operator

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. On the Main Menu, click Picker. The list of available work orders for your storage opens.
  2. If process type filters are shown, select the process types you want to work on.
  3. If the list is long, open the search popover above it and type a number or a description. The match is not case-sensitive, and the active filter is shown as a chip you can remove to see the full list again.
  4. If the selected work order type has work order templates, a filter switches between Work orders and Work order templates. To pick from a template, click Start on its card — oneGRID creates a new work order from the template.
  5. Start a work order: scan its code, or click Start on its card. To resume a paused order, click Continue. The picking view opens and shows the progress of the order.
  6. Go to the location indicated by the LED guidance on the rack.
  7. Take the shown amount of the item from the location.
  8. Confirm the pick. Depending on the storage settings, you confirm by scanning the location, scanning the container, pressing the sensor button at the location, or pressing the confirmation button on the screen. The progress counter increases.
  9. Repeat the previous three steps until all positions are picked. The message Picking completed appears.
  10. Click Finish. The work order status changes to Completed.
note

Depending on the storage settings, oneGRID can show a report of the work order before picking starts.

note

When lot number tracking is enabled and the location holds stock with lot numbers, the Scan lot number dialog opens during confirmation. Scan the lot number of the stock you are picking; if the location also holds stock of the item without a lot number, Pick item without lot number skips the scan.

Result

All positions of the work order are picked and confirmed. The work order appears with status Completed in the History.
