Storages and racks
This page describes how to create storages and build their physical structure — racks, shelves, and locations. It is for administrators with the Management permission.
Storage types
oneGRID supports these storage types (availability depends on your license):

| External shelving storage | Shelving managed by an external warehouse management system; locations are imported |

| Put Wall | A wall for sorting picked items into work orders |
| ISAC | A storage with ISAC navigation |
Create a storage
- Open Management > Storages. The storages are grouped by type.
- Click the + button in the group of the type you need and enter the storage data.
- Save. The new storage appears in its group, and you can open its details page.
Build racks, shelves, and locations
- Open the storage from the Storages page. The Storage details page opens.
- Click + to add a rack. The Rack details page opens.
- Add shelves to the rack.
- Add locations to each shelf — one by one or in bulk. You can edit a location's type and mode, reorder locations, and light up a location to check that the LED guidance points to the right place.
- Repeat for every rack. Racks can be duplicated to the left or right to speed up building identical rows.
For External shelving storage and Flat shelving storage, import the locations from a CSV file instead: download the template via the save icon on the Storage details page, fill it, and upload it.
Connect LED guidance and sensors
On the Rack details page you can:
- Add an LED strip for rack guidance and adjust its segments and offsets.
- Add or remove a confirmation sensor (sensor button) on a location.
- Light up the rack guidance or a confirmation sensor to test the setup.
- Add an ISAC device to the rack.
- Reset the rack devices if they behave unexpectedly.
Manage a storage
The three-dots menu on the Storage details page offers Edit, Settings, Duplicate, and Delete. For a Put Wall it also offers Clear Put Wall.

Deleting a storage removes its structure from oneGRID. Check that no stock and no running processes depend on it before deleting.
